Thanks to the good people from youtube, am watchin' the womens euro champs game PSG V Lyon. Mainly for our girl Ellie "bombin' down the wing" Carpenter and the Dark Shark Catarina Macario. Absolute howler from PSG gk who gifted the Dark Shark a goal but that's what a dark shark does. Sniffs blood in the water. Accordin' to USWNT chat forums, she is coach Vlatko's pet and he prefers her to Alex Morgan. Cue the meltdowns.

Anyhoo Lyon 3-2. Hope they face Barcelona who do look formidable. Luckily it does not translate to their national side. Hahahahaa. Poor espana. Hahaha.

Also today Chelsea beat Spurs to remain on course to win the league. Slammin' Sammy Kerr scored the second in a 3-1 win.

Again thanks to the good people at youtube, just watched Lyon overcome PSG in front of 43k raucous crowd incredible atmosphere. Led by Hederberg and Renard, the ladies in white looked solid. My girl Ellie Carpenter and the Dark Shark Macario played well.

How do you stop Wendy Renard from scorin' a header in the plenty box? She's at least 6'6". An Amazon!

It hurts. I think Leicester were a bit overwhelmed by the occasion and froze up. We didn't play well at all. I could go on about the weak officiating and the home team being favoured by the referee, but if you don't create chances and take them, you're not going win games like this, whatever the refereeing is like.
Still, it's an achievement reaching a semi-final of a new competition, particularly given the season we've had with so many long-term injuries to key players, especially defenders, and the craziness of the previous two seasons as well.
Another half dozen games left in the domestic season, and I hope we can finish with a bit of a flourish, get some wins, secure a top-half berth
