Bad loss at Palace for Leicester, and with a win for relegation rivals Bournemouth, the pressure increases tenfold as we drop into the bottom three. Squeaky bum to the end of the season!
City were largely bereft of creativity and intent. I know chairman Khun Top is fiercely loyal to Rodgers, but I'm wondering if his patience has run out now? Ten games left to escape the drop... On today's evidence, I'm fearful.

No idea who'll come in. Priority is securing Premier League status for next season, then we can look for someone to take over after that.

It's possible his departure has been under discussion and negotiation for a while, compensation payments etc., so the club were just waiting to have his successor confirmed before announcing Rodgers' leaving. His general demeanor, always on the dour side, has seemed to many of us to have been more so in recent weeks.

Caitlin Foord has a dodgy hammy while Steph Catley is not too far away to return. Ellie Carpenter has made a successful comeback with Lyon. Mary Fowler will be determined to prove herself again on the big stage.

So. Fun games ahead. Only friendlies so I'm not bothered by results. That will matter in July downunder.

It's funny because it's true Ash! Sorry to hear about your team's struggles...

We're off to a good start of the season in my corner of the world. FC Cincinnati is undefeated after six matches with four wins and two draws and are sitting at the top of the eastern conference as a result! The AppleTV+ feature that allows you to listen to the local commentary doesn't work very well though with either no audio or no announcers and only crowd noise which is actually kinda fun but certainly not what was promised, but sometimes they get it right. Oh well at least the matches have been fun to watch.

Down the river Racing Louisville is doing OK with two matches down yielding two draws including one Saturday against Washington Spirit which has a handful of USWNT members where Louisville came back from a two goal deficit to tie it up. Here's looking forward to a summer full of soccer!
