Well, had to get a covid test today at a walkin facility, 2 hours, knew when I got back to Sydney that Stokes was out. So hoped Rooty Tooty could make 150 and make a game of it. But no. Got home and Pointless was on the telly with Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman. Can they bat?

You know that girl in your village. She's the third sister, a bit plain,wears hand me downs, no makeup. Maybe stays home when the big dance is on. Helping her mother sew old clothes and clean dirty pots and pans. She's a toiler. Sweet soul. Shy. No airs or Grace's. But for one day, one season she walks taller, perhaps free in her self knowledge, perhaps a new boy has shown interest , her sisters married and now it is her time to shine.
Scott Boland is a bit like her.
I've seen him play domestic cricket for 10 years. A willing toiler. In T20 he charges in, short and squat. Gets results.
They say a fox knows many things. A hedgehog only one. But it knows it deeply. Boland is the hedgehog bowling at his local ground, the MCG.

I've tracked down several vids on YT. I'm a masochist like that.
I think Leach being dismissed and Stokes coming in, eventually, the night before was probably the end. Well done Aus, phenomenal performance.

THE WORLD TURNS PINK. TOMORROW.
4th Test. Sydney. The Pink test. Pink caps. Pink stumps. Raising money for the McGrath Foundation's fight against breast cancer. Glenn married a popular English lass who sadly succumbed to the disease.
The original ashes were presented to the travelling English captain by a comely Australian lass. Who he eventually married and he became a Lord and she a Lady.
So really inter-country rivalry has always been sweetened by such love matches. So hopefully the 3 Lions can bat for pride and extend the match and the opportunity to raise money for a great cause.Comment
