TEST 2 DAY 1 MIDDLE SESSION

Warner and Labbers settling in. Slow going. but they are respecting their wickets. No swing.

Just out of interest am turning 60 tomorrow. Impressive? Not really. Both Smith and Labershagne average above 60. in Test Cricket.

Still hoping for a solid first innings lead for my birthday present

Labbers 2000 Test runs in 20 matches.
He hungry. Hungry like a shark.

    1/ 151.

      WHAT ARE THE ODDS?

South Australia had 24 covid cases today.

One of them shook hands with Pat Cummins.

What a year it has been.

      Stay safe.

            TEST 2 SESSION 1

Just back from an alfresco lunch of grilled barramundi and chips/ Greek salad. down Botany Bay. Ramsgate beach. Just got home.

Poms look settled in for big day. Malan and Root scoring well and easily. Pitch has no terrors left. Will turn. Though. Beware Lyon.

Hope Rooty Tooty and others can make the match competitive and it won't boil my strawberries if they nick a win

              TEST 2 DAY 4 SESSION 1

              Cooler day. 22 ° Celsius.

Root injured in warmup. Not on field. No other details.

BBC media reporter covid positive. BBC and ABC may have to report off game.

Australia expected to declare 420 ahead.

Neser, Harris. Out. English bowlers pitching up. Much better.

Smith dropped 2nd ball by Buttler. Ouch! Then lbw to Broad. Umpire gives not out. Ball tracker says ball would of hit off. Smith gets benefit of doubt. England look up for the fight.

NB : Root got hit in the goolies. Double ouch!

Yep. Rooty must be feelin' black and blue but you can't deny his courage. He is absolutely the least of England's problems.

I got a teacher in the plums at school. Best off-break I ever bowled! Maths teacher Mr Lafferty, a right bar-steward he was...

Got hit once in goolies, practising with my high school team, by our fast bowler, the strapping Data Supomo, son of an Indonesian diplomat, back in Canberra. Was not wearing a box. It hurt like the End of the World.

Had to get a lift home. Sore and sorry. Managed to "rub it better" over time...

Just got into Canberra after a foggy journey through The Southern Highlands. Listened to Robert Palmer.
Arrived at first sisters' house to see 2 down. Then
                                Root Tooty's gone!

Listened to radio over to 2nd sister's house. Gifts. Leftover sandwiches. Stokes! Gone! Green.
Coconut cake. Cups of tea. C'mon England. Stick in the game.
