Sun shining. Not a cloud in the sky. Woakes to Warner. Straight off the mark. Barmy Army in good voice, already. Yesterday was impressed with the opener Hameed, good body language, composure. Fair amount of fight also in the late middle order. Bad toss to win as Cummins would've batted too. Overcast, humid, green top, bounce...a bowler's paradise. But after Hussein's decision to bowl in 04, no England captain will dare to bowl first at the Gabbatoir again.
Good commentary here with Botham and Ponting. In introductions yesterday it was all "Lord" this and ""Lord" that. Obsequious....now it's Beefy this and Beefy that, plenty of goodnatured banter. Ian is a good sport however and the sparring is clever. Punter is probably our best thinker and Beefy has an opinion on everything so good choices channel 7.

Robinson gets Harris. Good catch in slips. 1/10
I vividly and painfully remember Steve Harmison's first over at the Gabba. Was that 2007? A 5 - 0 whitewash. A real comedown after the English high of 2005...
Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.
Not a cloud in sky. But hot and humid. 32° Celsius. But Brissie often gets an afternoon thunderstorm for 20 minutes or so. Seems the match is progressing enough to absorb time delays. Still this Summer is set to be wet....
Yep. Sorry. Had a nap. Yep. WA is the hermit kingdom of the world. Can't get in. Can't get out.
Premier Mark McGowan though has an approval rating in the 80's over there. Crazy Sandgropers.
So the ACB has decided to see what the other states can offer. Melbourne would make the most money with 90,000 spectators. Plus reward it after all the strict lockdowns. Sydney would make money. Adelaide. Same. But Hobart is the sentimental fave as they have only ever gotten the odd test with Nepal or Afghanistan.
Expect it to be a second pink ball test which would suit your seamers. A pink kookaburra would really swing, baby!
England are fighting back with Root and Malan showing the way. Into their 80's. Playing for pride?
Maybe but cricket is a funny game. Just ask Ben Stokes. If the Poms can set 150 innings lead , the Aussies have been known to bottle a small run chase.
This ain't over yet!

CRICKET TECHNOLOGY : Let me get this straight. No snicko available. No 3rd umpire checking every ball for a noball. due to tech issues.
TENNIS TECHNOLOGY : You know it is the 21st Century, don't you?
