Saw him at a "Fest for Beatles Fans" once.

80 years old.

The musicians I grew up with are all dying. Jimmy Buffet passed away on Friday at age 76.

Last month we lost Sinead O'Connor (56) and Randy Meisner (77).

I was at the Anaheim Stadium ("The Big A") show where Gary Wright was one of the supporting acts, 2nd on the bill after Gentle Giant, followed by Peter Frampton, then, finally, Yes.

Weird thing, can't remember much about opening acts from big shows back then, but I have clear memories of GG and Gary Wright that day. There was a nice mellow vibe that afternoon and his set grabbed my attention, really liked his band as well. Was never a big fan of GW or Frampton but they were both quite enjoyable.
