I saw Skynyrd in the late 70s here in Leicester. I remember it as being full of energy in front of a capacity crowd at De Montfort Hall, very hot. Fantastic live band.

Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been. -
Skynyrd don't make old bones, do they ?
Many of the later classic members and reunion members have also gone, like Hughie Thommason. By my calculations, Artimus Pyle, Greg Walker and Ricky Medlocke are the holdouts from the early days.
Sad to see another one gone.
