Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been. -
Wow, it's almost been 30 years. I remember being in Tower Records in Virginia and overhearing I think one of the employees saying 'I can't believe Frank Zappa's gone'. I was bummed out for sure, I must say. Yeah, I miss ol' Uncle Frank. Visionary. Genius. But above all, just plain fun and great music - be it in whatever style he chose to play around with, rock, the avant-garde, jazz, orchestral music, electronic music, doowop, whatever. I might listen to Hot Rats tonight. -
Amazing how quickly time goes by. Zappa was a quixotic one, highly intelligent, a musical savant.
I listened to a few tracks off Jazz From Hell this morning.Comment
