    Taylor Hawkins

Group led by Dave Grohl says members are ‘devastated’ and ‘musical spirit’ of Hawkins will live on
Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.

Very young - and of course there’s the immediate connection between himself and Davison. Another sad day in these sad times.

very sad, so young. I was aware of his work in the Foo Fighters but not an active listener, but I am giving them a listen today for sure- RIP Taylor! I am sure Jon will be devastated as well.

Foo Fighters will probably do new song Everythings Electric as it was cowritten for Gallagher by Grohl. Liam has said Taylor was always pitchin' songs to him but he thought they were too weird.

Hawkins was originally drummer for Morrisette so expect You Outta Know.

Queen might do We Will Rock You.

Hope the FFs do the DeeGees covers. Hawkins was great on lead vox on Andy Gibb's Shadow Dancin'.

It got even more impressive with the inclusion of concert: Travis Barker, Violet Grohl, Justin Hawkins, James Gang, John Paul Jones, Brian Johnson, Kesha, Martin Chambers, Josh Freese, Luke Spiller, Lars Ulrich and Taylor Hawkins’ son, Shane.

New just broke that the London concert will be livestreamed.

The show, which will take place on Sept. 3, will be broadcast in its entirety on Paramount's streaming and digital platforms, which include Paramount+ (the U.S. only), MTV YouTube channels (globally) and Pluto TV (internationally.) Coverage will begin at 11:30 a.m. EDT. Special editions of the concert will also be broadcast later in the day on CBS and MTV. I'm surprised not to see Jon Davison, either as part of Yes or as a solo performer, on that list of musical acts for the tribute concert. He and Hawkins seemed super close.
"A lot of the heavier conversations I was having with Chris toward the end were about his desire for this thing to go forward. He kept reiterating that to me. [...] He kept telling me, 'No matter what happens, Yes needs to continue moving forward and make great music. So promise me that that's something you want to do.'. And I have to keep making music. It's just what I do. [...] I'm a fan of the band and I want to see it thrive and that means new music." -Billy Sherwood

Oldest of friends. Juano is in Japan preparin' for the first show at same time. Might make the LA gig later.
