The wheel is turning and you can't slow down
You can't let go and you can't hold on
You can't go back and you can't stand still
If the thunder don't get you then the lightning will.

Won't you try just a little bit harder
Couldn't you try just a little bit more
Won't you try just a little bit harder
Couldn't you try just a little bit more.

    Round, round, Robin run around
Gotta get back where you belong
Little bit harder, just a little bit more
Little bit further than you gone before.

The wheel is turning and you can't slow down
You can't let go and you can't hold on
You can't go back and you can't stand still
If the thunder don't get you then the lightning will.

Small wheel turning by the fire and rod
Big wheel turning by the grace of God
Every time that wheel turn round
Bound to cover just a little more ground.

With all the craze about the final Grateful Dead shows in Chicago... 300K tickets sold in hours etc. this reminded me of what I always though was a misdirection of hippie consciousness. For some reason, the huge "Dead Head" following has become a timeless institution of all things hippie and 60's 70's ethos. Should YES have been the more viable vehicle for hippie culture? YES is much more creative and forward thinking both musically and lyrically. Jon's spiritual lyrics,

It's hard to believe that Jerry would have been 81 today. I wonder what he would think about our 21st century lives and especially the path that his bandmates took after his passing.

          RIP Jerry

Jerry Garcia was the epitome of the baby boomer generation:
Have no discipline,, get obese and take a lot of drugs . A role model for the 14 year old today!
