    It's Gunna be a Crumbley Christmas

    Merry Xmas from the Boebert family. The eldest son has that look already. He ready for class on Thursday.

    I mean we all know the only way you stop a bad family with guns is with a good family with guns....

        I live in the boonies on an old farm with 63 acres and we are surrounded by people who like to shoot guns. Everyone hunts pretty much (we have deer, turkey, rabbit, and they also hunt raccoon, ground hog, and possum to keep them in check) and we let people hunt on our land (apparently we have delicious rabbits). When they are not hunting they shoot to make sure their guns are properly sighted in, for practice, and just because they like to shoot. We also hear what are clearly altered weapons that sound like machine guns and high caliber shooting that sounds like war when it is fired. But they are not shooting in anger, at least I don't think they are, and while I don't find the sound of gunfire pleasant in any way shape or form and I'm not a gun person I generally have no problem with any of this (well maybe the high caliber stuff and we also hear huge explosions that are just plain weird).

        All that being said I don't understand the glorification of weapons of war which pictures of this sort seem to be to me. I also don't understand how our cities in particular have created an environment where illegal guns are hidden all over and used to commit crimes of various sorts. I even had a stray riffle bullet go over my head from a neighbor, and I am certainly not OK with that (and fortunately they are long gone). And I could go on and on.

        Something has got to change eventually. This madness can't go on forever...
