My genealogical lovin' sister has organized me to take another DNA test for Irish ancestry and assorted other places. Portugal. Smidge of Middle East. Got the kit so whatsapped her. Sent her the activation code for her to start the process on their website. Saw the number. Sent the number. She smelt a rat. Asked if there was another number. Sure enough. I had given her the number on the stabilisin' fluid tube. Not the spit tube. Doh!

There's a reason she's a doctor and I spent my workin' life gluin' bits of wood together. So all is good. Gonna send it back to the Mother country. She'll get the results and continue her tireless search for more relatives.

Made me smile. (And inwardly grimace)

I was beginning to feel like this wasn't a safe place for me to be, and that made me very sad. But then something happened today and I feel somewhat better. That's all I'm gonna say about that.

Sorry to hear this Luna. You are one of the bright lights here. If you need to talk to John the owner. You should. He responds straightaway. Hope this is somethin' that can blow over. Stick around 😊

I kind of smiled when I noticed the politics forum is gone. Then I noticed a post above which is slightly political. Stuff like this is probably enough and hopefully won't encourage the incessant partisan blather.

(edit: Sorry CP. I was having thread problems and was referring to post #30, by Esthe.)

Is it really gone? THAT would make me smile and breathe a sigh of relief. Too many other places for that [email protected], don't need it here.
