Another animal that has been hidin' for 60 years in plain sight. A bear. On the toblerone pack. Amazin', innit? Seems it's made in Bern Switzerland where the city's coat of arms is a bear. Never knew that.

Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.

I've just completed my six-month probation period for my job. All good. Fully onboard now and in a great team. Very satisfying feeling for an old man.

Me at the office today in a t-shirt matching the picture on the noticeboard of my favourite painting: Botticelli's La Primavera.
My colleague Beth is sporting a t-shirt of her favourite K-Pop group, matching a pic on her side of the noticeboard. After a few bumps in the road early on, I'm now in a good place and enjoying being there.

The keen-eyed among you may spot a printout of the Tales cover behind me....

There's a lot to unpack there. Looks like fun.

On a sideways note it reminded me of an exchange I have with my friend Jennie. She is an elderly Italian lady who spends her mornin's at the high street cafe. In the Spring sunshine. Her English is OK. Better than my Italian which stretches to "Bongiorno Jennie. Prima Vera!"

Only to discover I was pronouncin' it like the famous lady detective from Newcastle. Rather than the softer "e" it should be. Not so cosmopolitan as I thought.

            Made me smile.

My spanking vegetable chilli is cooking. This is as it should be.

Onions, garlic, grated ginger, courgette, grated carrot, green sweet pepper, celery, peas, sweetcorn, kidney beans, chopped tomatoes, and of course: chillis.
Also: fenugreek (discovered by Aeneas on his little-known visit to Norfolk after his fling with Dido), marjoram, a little nutmeg, and balsamic vinegar.

Comedic accompaniment is provided by Monday's edition of I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue on BBC Sounds, and and old episode of The Unbelievable Truth on Audible.

Mr..Wheaton. An alcoholic.. A certified manic depressive with high anxiety and various other mental disorders. Ah, Is he off his coaktails of medicine? And is he qualified to do a psychological profile of anyone?

Bought a new toothbrush. On getting home from town (I also bought jeans), I discovered it was a vibrating toothbrush. Honestly, I didn't know when I bought it...

Watching the radical Left going bonkers and attacking Elon Musk as he exposes the collusion between the previous Twitter executives and the Democratic Party in covering for the Biden crime family before the 2020 election and the coordination of the government and media in all their investigations of Rudy Giuliani, Steven K Bannon and others. Democracies investigate crimes. Socialists and Communist countries investigate people

Sadly, this shouldn’t be news to a good majority of the country. Responsibly informed folks knew this was happening, a leftist and Socislist-agenda was criminally pushed throughout almost all forms of media, while millions of dollars and hours were wasted on left-wing and FBI lies, and worst, folks were silenced and demonized for actual facts. For just about everything. People should pay with loss of pensions, and imprisonment. Talk about criminal misinformation and lies. These folks need to be held accountable. Sadly, have the country are sheep and/or dependent on state and government aid. If they aren’t old, surely they are Democrats, and if not registered, young folks are in college, odd colored hair, members of Antifi, or a collection of all. Just look at the clown-show of diversity that the administration has brought on, that are possibly the least qualified of almost doing any job. It’s okay, they tell Americans it’s not economically feasible to afford children, while we have the largest human-trafficking of children, with the floodgates of folks from below our border who have either walked up north, or flown around around the world invading us with people and drugs that we can’t afford as a nation. Liberals are fine until it’s in their backyard. They are too stupid, or criminally negligent in allowing this all to happen.
