  • What is the meaning of your Sign in Name?

We had a thread like this back at Yesfans. Started to read it just before the site shut down. Found it interesting!

Ok. I’ll bite. 😄. I worked for a great utility and was lucky enough to retire from that same company. My buddy called me gasman a loooong time ago. Not in reference to “flatulence”. Lol. But to the natural gas industry I was in. I used it ever since......

    ok. Now you. Lol. 😆😆

I play guitar, and in common with Mr. Howe, ragtime finger picking is one of my favourite styles.

        Guess I should!

My name is a play on my original email name which included SOLA in it.

Sola is "alone" in Latin so my name YESOLA just means Yes alone is my top band.

I mean I would also add that it was Beck-Ola that inspired me ...but that would be a false.

I just enjoy Lewis Carroll inspired psychedelic whimsy.

Luna is my online name in a few places, and I had to add my birth year because it's a rather popular sobriquet.

Is it a bad idea to have used my real name?
Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.

Yes. And we know where you live.

Gilly rhymes with silly. Oh my goodness.

Also Gilly is nickname of my favourite Australian cricketer, Adam Gilchrist.

My handle has been used going all the way back to dial-in bulletin boards in the 80s. I have been a Star Trek fan most of my life and my first name is actually Kevin. So, I used my first initial and added trek to it. Just that simple.

It was literally the worst idea I could think of, and yet also the best. Full of punk rock DIY spirit!

                        From Craft Beer & Brewing:

"Yorkshire Square is a unique fermenting vessel that originated in the north of England."

                        Says it all really... 😉

I suppose I could have gone with Lagavulin, or Ardbeg, or Talisker, or even Laphroaig. Or even all four in some kind of combination....

My name comes from Yours Is No Disgrace, but you all knew that. It is spelled wrong, I know, but I just kept it that way.
