  • Who would you now prefer to see live?

I just thought I'd put it out here. If the choice is yours, who would you rather go see in concert? Yes or Jon with either the Band Geeks or School of Rock kids?

Just as a reminder; this thread is not ment to spout any hatred or nasty comments about either Yes or Jon. Just curious to see the preferences.

Now go vote in the poll and expound in a post.

Looks to me like we’re all sitting on the fence here!! Thinking carefully and with great consideration,I going to say Jon Anderson with the Geeks, although I’m slightly influenced by the fact that my good lady was with me and even she admitted to enjoying the concert more than she had anticipated.😎

No surprise from me , its Jon every time. And having just heard him supports my viewpoint. His vocal style and sound are unique and you can either get your head around hearing Yes music without him , or you can’t.

      And I cannot.

Fortunately for me, I have got my head round it,and thoroughly enjoy seeing both at every opportunity.😎

Easy choice for me. If Steve Howe is playing guitar, I want to be there.

Both of course as we are lucky enough to be able to see both at the moment. Jon last Sunday and Yes next year (UK). Having said that I hope, but don’t expect it to happen, that the Band Geeks come to Blighty some time with Jon.

Jon Anderson - solo, geeks, kids, other band - my clear first
              choice.

              I voted for Jon.

This is not meant to infer (is that the correct usage) that I don’t thoroughly enjoy seeing the current lineup of Yes also. Love the live Yes shows.

I'd be up for seeing Jon with the Band Geeks (in a very specific set of circumstances).
                Rabin-esque

Jon for me with the geeks but not kids.

yes songs are different to songs other band who have successfully replaced singers do - I'm thinking AC/DC, Black Sabbath and Queen and to an extent Genesis. Yes musics foundation is Jons voice and the music requires his voice. its intrinsic.

Both. I regret not being able to go to the Jon/Geeks show that was playing near me. I’ve got tickets to see YesO.

Anyway we can get to see Jon anderson, he was brilliant at Shepard's Bush, perfect singing, interacting with the audience, he was struggling not to laugh during Starship Trooper, loved it wish I could have gone to both.

I want to see both performing any time I can. I would see shows by both, multiple times, if it were easier to do so.

Nevertheless, I do have a bit of a preference for Jon (and saw him on Sunday). But I still have my ticket ready for the postponed Yes concert, now scheduled for next year.

I quite like to be able to see two sets of people performing Yes music! It's quite interesting to hear the differences between them.

Easy, Jon with the Geeks. As close to Yes as we’ve had in over 20 years.

Only if they come to the UK, otherwise another Rock Academy tour will do.
