    What’syour favourite number?

Mine is 6. It’s a process of elimination. 8 is too fat. 9 looks like it’s falling down. 0 is boring. The others are too pointy.
    Go figure.

BTW this is my first poll ever, hope it works.

Mine is 9 because when you turn it upside down it becomes 6 and when you turn it upside down it becomes 9 and when you turn it upside down it becomes…

        6 is better.

You left out the best number by far...

          Zero

But I'm picking 8 because it is the only number that is a product of another number in this list 2 cubed.

Only one prime number is even, and no doubt you’ve guessed by now that it’s 2.

I was going to, but there are only 10 options possible.

The figure 8 has both vertical and horizontal symmetry, and that has a certain appeal. It also offers you two holes....
5 looks a bit like an 'S', and adding an 's' to the end of most words gives you more of that thing, so that has appeal too.
                          Never liked 6. Looks unstable.
3 is good. Perfect pairs and all that. I like trios and trilogies.
                          4, not so much. And Thunderbird 4 was a bit of a one-trick-pony, or a one-trick-submarine.
7? The most common of favourites. Populist rot. Not for me.
9, again like 6, looks unstable. Top heavy, where 6 is bottom heavy.
1 is just boring. An ok place to start from, get past and leave behind as quickly as possible.
As a young boy I was sceptical of the existence of 2. I fixated on the progression of 1 to 3. Somehow it made sense to a young, inchoate mind.

I'm going with 8. Also looks a bit like a pair of handcuffs, and that brings back memories of a WPC I dated once...

Zero is a non-starter. It thinks it's important philosophically. Very pretentious.
Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.

                              4. Nice and pointy, with some interesting angles. It's the same reason that K is my favourite letter, both capital and small. K/k has the additional advantage that it sounds nice.
Several of the other numbers look as though they might just spend their time rolling around, when we're not looking. However, worst is 5, because it combines straight lines and curves, and simply looks weird because of that. To a lesser extent, 2.
For letters, I find E/e perplexing. I don't understand it. E looks as though it has to strain hard to keep its arms outstretched, whilst e looks really lazy - just sitting around.
(These are things I have thought about a lot, previously. It's good to learn that I'm not the only one!)
