    Vangelis, RIP

    Vangelis, DEP
Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.

Three threads on this now. Perhaps John can merge them into one??

It’s just been on the evening news. Not much more than composer of chariots of fire and 79. Reminders of our mortality seem to come thick and fast.

Just saw this in the news and very sad indeed. Some of my favorite Jon moments come from his work with Vangelis and I would have loved to see what he could have done with Yes but of course that never happened. RIP big man and peace and love to his family, friends, and fans.

Awl man. Another electronic great gone this year. A lot of great music he left us. Sad news. True composer. RIP Vangelis. I'm going to listen to some of his stuff right now.

This is so very, very sad. Vangelis was an absolute giant in his field. He will undoubtedly be most remembered for his score to Chariots of Fire, but his score for Blade Runner was truly phenomenal and one of a kind.

RIP indeed, Evangelos, and I'm sure your synthesizer will be a welcome addition to the harp orchestra in heaven.

We now have at least 3 threads on this, which I suppose is a testament to the impact this news has had on fans, who are now rushing to share the sad news. But RIP, Vangelis!
