On DBA's FB page is a new track talk through with Chris. An epic, drivin' song that affirms there is a light in the darkness. ( like bright lighthouses by the sea 😉 )

No lyric video yet. But incomin' I expect.

From the very brief clip, the guitar sound is very gnarly!

Don’t do FB but that was a tease. Interesting to hear that this new song is based on some of Geoff’s work he had done during the Drama period, with Jon Anderson doing some guest vocals.






















No, not really but we must draw more interest into the upcoming Downes Braide Association album. I like and prefer the first single out to anything on the last two YES albums. Don’t tell anyone. ;-)

Rob. Song was from the Skyscraper Souls time but didn't fit on that album. Likewise Halcyon Hymns. They finally resolved it for Celestial Songs. Chris says a great guitar solo at end. Another song about findin' clear light and hope out of the darkness of confusion.
Stickin' to the template. Will there be just a Dumb Party Anthem?

The trailer mentions 3 or so singles. Forget which.

PERCIEVE THE ARC MAN'S RISING

YES! Never a boring day with all things YES, or all things YES-related. Whether it is to praise or dump on ( not the two of us Gilly ) there is still somehow, STILL, YES-shit to bitch about, er PRAISE.

Even for us younger fans that started in the early 80s, who would have imagined that there would ever have a YES to see, let alone a maze of artists and shows to see that is still going on? No body! I was listening to Patrick where they were touring the states in 1976, and they had to literally shut down the airport in New York because of the lasers YES were using. Sure, I was a big man in the early 70s navigating the alps skiing, but I was literally in charge of nothing else back then, including picking and going to shows. I see older folks shopping only, and acting like, while like older folks do. I see more and more dropping off, and staying at home. Dog bless they older folks still entertaining themselves, and us!

I'm keen on pickin' up this new DBA album when it gets released into the wild. Haven't listened to any of the new trax yet, but for some reason I'm feeling getting this one. I lost track of them after Skyscraper Souls and didn't get the DBA 4 or the live one until a year or two after they came out and I thought 4 wasn't quite as excitin' as the first three. But I got a good feeling about Celestial Songs! I'm gonna listen to this drivin' around at night well after the orangey skies merge into a purple blanket of starry wonder. 🌙

Will this go down as Chris Braide's Eleanor Rigby?


Chris says in the FB track talk through that it is an epic song about loneliness of the aging performer, applyin' more and more makeup as they grow older, still chasin' audience applause.

He also says Geoff composed the large extended middle bit. And Bainbridge offers a soarin' solo. Expect emotion, pathos and drama!!!

This album is shapin' up nicely. And then the final epic Beyond the Stars, that is creatin' a lot of buzz already. 😍
