  • How do you manage Subscriptions in this version?

On the old site and some other vBulletin sites I've used there was a page to manage subscriptions and a way to look at subscribed threads that have new posts (rather than the Notifications.) So:

    1. Is there a way to set it so that I am automatically subscribed to a thread I post in? I just made a post in the Christmas song thread, but then had to scroll to the top and subscribe too. You used to be able to set it up to do that automatically.

    2. I used to click on "Settings" in the upper right corner of the page, and it took me to a list of my subscribed threads with new posts. My shortcut for the site took me there too. I'd click on the button to the left of the title and it would take me to the newest post. I see that in the regular thread lists in Forums, but not in the Subscribed tab of my settings. Is there a way to see it the old way?

The new site looks really great. It's just that old habits die hard sometimes. And I miss the old smilies. 😎

When you go to User Settings, click notifications then "subscribe when posting"

OK that was simple enough. Right there at the top too. Thanks!

Now, how about seeing the subscribed threads with new posts? There's a Subscribed tab in my User Profile, but the threads there seem to be in a random order rather than being sorted by when the last post was made.

Follow up: "My Recent Posts" seems to be close to what I'm looking for. But, for instance , my comment above doesn't show there as the past post. So comments are different from posts. But I'm not sure yet if it will take me to the first new post or only to the last one if there are more than one?

Yeah, that's the same thing as what I see on the Subscriptions tab in my User Profile.

I'm pretty sure that what I want is to click on the drop-down with my name in the upper right corner, and selecting "My Recent Posts". I made a shortcut of that page, and when I came back it had this thread on top (my subscribed thread with the most recent post in it) and there was a button to the left of the title that I clicked and it took me to your post.

The only question is will that take me to the first new post in a thread that has multiple new posts instead of the last post (that usually has a button to the right of the poster's name).

        Thanks again for your help!

That last part works too! I just saw it happen in another thread.

It still sorts weird though, the dates of the last post still aren't chronological, but I guess I can live with that.
