What qualifies as World News on this Forum?

It can be increasingly frustrating to start a thread on a non-music forum without fear of being censored and cancelled by the radical, mar..../

Anyway, we all know that there are all kinds of people saying that WE all know something and they don't realize that they are building a strawman argument. Some people want to stir-up controversy, usually related to politics, without respecting that the politics forum has been banned. See the definition of politics below. Perhaps we should clarify as to which definitions of politics are acceptable.

Besides all that (I won't mention the T-word), it's a bit baffling that today's news about Tales From Topographic Oceans being arrested as soon as next week and calling for protests on his behalf was deleted almost immediately. It sounds hauntingly familiar to the 1/6/2021 incident. Wouldn't you think? Was that acceptable World News? Are wars acceptable news?

This is very interesting. I typed Tales From Topographic Oceans and it came up TFTO. Is it the liberal, marxist...wait!/

Okay, let me clarify. I have been typing the pound sign, the number sign or hashtag as you kids call it (#), followed immediately by the number forty five in Arabic (Yes that's Arabic people. I believe by definition that word is political), (45). Of course we all know what that means. The radical, censored, yesist forum translates this to "Tales From Topographical Oceans". What is the meaning of this? Is there an agenda? Has the radical, gatesist, sorosist monsters infiltrated our blessed space here?

I don't know why anyone would want to discuss such topics on a music forum. There are countless destinations to discuss world news or political topics. I would not visit a political forum to discuss Yes music. The people reading political forums are not looking for my views on Yes music, I suppose, and that makes sense to me.

Politics? I prefer animal stories. Biology. Evolution.
The only thread I've ever had closed on this forum concerned someone discoverin' a whale's penis on a Queensland beach. Was studied by the university there. Sir David Attenborough was said to be intrigued.

Never got an explanation as to why this was closed.

My word, why would one want to discuss World News on a Yesforum. The darn thing has a World News forum, does that bother people? Maybe they can use a 'block forum' feature. True, I don't know, but it seems that you are assuming that you know what other people think. You are entitled to your own opinion, of course, but I don't think that you can state someone else's or accurately predict their thoughts or actions. It is a free world (existence) and you can do what you want.

Anyway, to clarify: John, I don't care about the politics forum. I am actually pleased that it is gone. My question is the title of this thread.

I was making a comment on your thread about the latest Trump news, and by the time I'd finished up my comment the thread was gone.

As for the problem of typing the number sign followed by a number, (such as # 10, but without the space) you get a shortcut to whatever. I've noticed this specifically when I'm commenting about how high a single reached on the Billboard Hot 100, and I mention it got to # 10, the site software thinks I want a link to "#10" instead. I instead have to type it out as having reached Number 10 on the charts

So, for instance, if I type (without the space)

                # 1, I get Home
                # 2, I get Forum
                # 3 gets you YESmusic
                and so on

                # 39 actually gets you #39, while
                # 40 and # 41 gets you Yes and Time And A Word, gets you Yes' 1st and 2nd albums
                So # 45 gets you #45, their 6th album
I don't know how high the # shortcuts go.

                # 50 = 90125
                # 99 = A Day In Life

                # 100 gets you , a blank. But if I put a "," (a comma) after it, it seems to be OK: #100, see?
