  • Days of Rage: The Rolling Stones' Road to Altamont

Watching this excellent 2019 documentary film, I recorded it a week ago on Sky Arts. It covers a lot of cultural and historical ground of the period. Very interesting.

Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.

Days of Rage: the Rolling Stones' Road to Altamont: Directed by Tom O'Dell. With Sam Culter, Michael Lydon, Gered Mankowitz, Ronnie Schneider. The decade that began with peace and love was shattered in the late 1960s amidst riots, assassinations and a war that wouldn't end. The Rolling Stones became the voice of this new era, which came to a horrific end at the Altamont festival.
