  • Garth Hudson of The Band feels forgotten

The Band are revered for their seemingly mythological shared musical reciprocity, which revolutionized several musical styles and practically invented the

Garth is alive and is very much still with us, but he feels lonely and forgotten.

I write to lonely seniors each month, so bringing Garth some cheer is something I’ll love to do. If anyone is interested in doing so, please drop Garth a line! Thank you!

Amen.

    Worse and worse…

Maud Hudson, Garth’s wife, passed away today. 😞 May she rest.

I believe Garth Hudson influenced Tony Kaye quite a bit around the time of Kaye’s first stint with Yes.

This is so profoundly sad. The last movie I've seen in a theater was the documentary about The Band, "Once Were Brothers." Even that is controversial because it was based on Robbie's book. They were amazing in their day, I still listen to their music, Jon Anderson is a big fan, and I wish Garth peace. I'm glad I saw them albeit without Robbie. They were still great opening for CSN except the guy to my right who sang every lyric as loudly as possible.
