Sorry but, despite it being beautifully produced, it sounds like MOR schmaltz to me. I've never understood why the Moody Blues are held in such high regard as a progressive band, particularly in North America. It's easy-listening fodder, which is not necessarily a put-down, but mostly probably is. Their contemporaries Procul Harum were comparably much more progressive, and there were a lot of other bands and artists, both here and across the Pond, breaking new ground in the late 60s, and doing so much more aggressively and purposely than the Moodies and, to my ears, much more satisfyingly.
