I'm listening to my Spotify "2021 Wrapped" playlist, based on the songs I've listened to most on Spotify... which is all Dua Lipa, Hannah Diamond, MØ, Chainsmokers, Foxes, Carly Rae Jepsen, Clean Bandit, Galantis etc., because that's the kind of stuff I listen to when I'm using Spotify.

Another listen to Chrysta Bell's sublime album We Dissolve. Not available from outlets over here so I've ordered it from her website in the US.
It was recorded in Bristol with Adrian Uttley of Portishead, which is a huge plus for me, great band, and Downes guests on keyboards.
She was in Twin Peaks The Return, and has done a couple of albums with David Lynch, which is how I got into her own stuff.
It has a wonderful vibe to it, brilliant drumming, and the sparing use of muted trumpet. It's produced by PJ Harvey associate John Parrish.

Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.

Gilgamesh - Another Fine Tune You've Got me Into (1978).

Another terrific reissue from Cherry Red/Esoteric of Canterbury Scene band Gilgamesh's second and final album.

I had to work from home first thing before going for my Covid booster and Flu jab. So a little bit of smooth vinyl:

The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Jazz At Oberlin 1953

Ommadawn, again after a disappointing Return to Ommadawn listening experience yesterday.

Absolutely love Ommadawn. And this morning I think I realised why. Imagine Olias of Sunhillow with Steve Howe on guitar.

Had my flu jab and Covid booster last week, one in each arm. A sore arm after the latter for a day or so after, like I'd been whacked with a cricket stump, but nothing more.

Strange combo but been listening to Marillion Seasons End and Molly Hatchet Beating The Odds in my car for a few weeks now. Therapy can't be far behind
