Another listen to Chrysta Bell's sublime album We Dissolve. Not available from outlets over here so I've ordered it from her website in the US.
It was recorded in Bristol with Adrian Uttley of Portishead, which is a huge plus for me, great band, and Downes guests on keyboards.
She was in Twin Peaks The Return, and has done a couple of albums with David Lynch, which is how I got into her own stuff.
It has a wonderful vibe to it, brilliant drumming, and the sparing use of muted trumpet. It's produced by PJ Harvey associate John Parrish.Last edited by Ash Armstrong; 12-01-2021, 10:30 AM.Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.
