good choices, though the omission of Alan is notable. He is overlooked. I feel that the albums Tales, Relayer, Tormato, Drama and Talk give him a spot on the list. Not to mention his great live performances over his 50 years with Yes.

Well clearly the list is flawed. No White?

They certainly covered all of the top names with Peart/Palmer/Bruford/Collins.

I feel this article was written a very long time ago however, based on the wording of the Collins section.

There is a reason drum machines were invented, namely drummers.
Alan White, Bill Bruford and John Marshall are the few exceptions.

Alan should be noted for Relayer alone!

It is truly outrageous that Alan White was left off that list.

Swap out Nick Mason for Alan White and you’ve got a pretty good list there.

I would probably but Terry Bozzio on that list, too. (Can’t believe he is 72 now )

Most progressive drummer ever in the literal term?
Rick Allen. Had his arm amputated, his band mates waited for him while electronic drums were designed with trigger effects. That is truly progressive.
