Dead Set Bangers ; Guilty Pleasures

    WHEN YOU'RE GONE

    Bryan Adams and Melanie C.

"Even food don't taste so good".....you know it.

This vid is 20 years later. Rerecorded. Mel C hasn't aged a day.
Filmed in Widnes. You'll see where at end.
Absolute banger. Don't think. Just feel.
What rock music was made for. To celebrate love and the whole damn thin' !!!

So post your guilty pleasure songs. They get sneered at. Uncool. Please.
Let people like what they like.

Rebrand? Bullshit. The once and only Bryan Adams and Mel C.

And this is how these young punks did it back in the day....

    Kudos to dude on organ.

Local Pittsburgh band does good in the 80's and does this glorious slice of 80's pop. Constantly on the radio the mid-west back in summer of 83

        THE FIGHTER

        Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood

So Keith probably wrote this song about Nicole.

C'mon. All his songs are about Nicole.
Best song of his. Love the call and response vocals. So cool!!!! 111 million views on YT. Not too shabby.

Now this is a Live version featurin' our own Jessica Mauboy at the Rugby League Grand Final. Stormin'.

My Bryan Adams guilty pleasures are 'Run To You," "It's Only Love" (which really shouldn't be counted because the presence of Queen Tina elevates it to an absolute banger), and "Cuts Like A Knife."

NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA

Okay...I'm definitely conflicted about this one but this version, it's genius. Much like, say, "I Wanna Be Your Dog" - when you hear it, there's that immediate dirty primal throb which hits you right in the hindbrain. It's a whole vibe, as the kids say,

Yeah swampy! Very primal. Kinda T-Rexy. Born to rock! Nice one. Didn't Stewart play her in a biopic?

Yep. And she was really good. I think it was misnamed though - it wasn't actually about the band, but rather the relationship of Joan and Cherie.

Guilty pleasures, dead bangers? Give me a raunchy rocker anytime. Mick Jagger's third solo album "Wandering Spirit" (which is his best and a great album) has a few, like this one 'Put Me in the Trash"

And I also love Rod Stewart's take on the Oasis song "Cigarettes and Alcohol":

                        NEED YOU NOW

                        Lady Antebellum

"It's a quarter past one, I'ma little drunk and I need you now". You know the one. We've all been there.

Beautiful piano led banger with a tinge of country and there's nothin' wrong with that.

1/2 a billion streams on YT. Not too shabby.

So there's this thing about Prince not being legit artistically-speaking until Dirty Mind, I guess. But his first album has an absolute B A N G E R in the closing spot. Can you say "Wunderkind?"
