Here's my modest little collection (not as many as Steve!). I used to have more electrics - Strats, Teles and a vintage Vox Marauder with built in effects like the one in the video - but it's mostly acoustic these days.

Thanks. There is a companion shot of some other, more exotic stringed instruments too, which all get used from time to time. None of my guitars are particularly rare or expensive but they made a nice image, and they all make nice sounds. For me, instruments are for playing and making music, although I understand the collectors instincts. I couldn't afford anything from Steve Howe's collection in any case 😏.

I've always wanted a Rickenbacker guitar. In 2018 I was able to treat myself. Guitar sale!
The 'crested wave' cut like Chris Squire's 4001 bass but in Midnight blue with the checkerboard binding. 660 model.

That is a lovely looking guitar. The blue is unusual and very classy 🙂.

Thanks. I've been in a number of bands over the years - from heavy rock, pop and rock ' roll, to folk-rock and progressive folk (Strawbs style), and some traditional folk. At the moment I play solo and in an acoustic duo. It's not what pays the bills ' though 😉.

Which Wishbone Ash member did you get the Arabic ‘oud from? I’m a lifelong WA fan. I have tickets to see them in Richmond, VA in March of 2022. Great band.

It was Steve Upton. He left quite a while ago.

Thanks for the response. I remember that Steve was the original drummer in Wishbone Ash., and on lots of their best albums. Your collection is impressive. Thanks for sharing.
