Despite all the years it's been running, I don't think I've ever watched it, though I could hum the theme tune. Never seen Home or Away either. Brian Johnston, the late cricket commentator, was a big fan of Neighbours apparently. Probably something to do with the bowler's Holding the batsman's Willey... Used to watch Prisoner: Cell Block H back in the 80s after we got back from the pub, it was so awful it was hilarious!

When I left my proper job a decade back I found Mrs Relayer who works from home, watched it while having her lunch. I hadn't seen it for years. We fell into watching together. We still do.

I'm not about to claim it's great - it is what it is and it's the only soap we watch. We're both ridiculously attached to it and it's really going to leave a hole in our day.

Sad.

Less sad now.

That is The Good Life as it was known in England and Australia. About a couple of self sufficient hippies livin' next to their upright posh neighbours. All 4 actors world class. Possibly one of the best sitcoms ever filmed. Up there with Fawlty Towers.

The Good Life is like Pinter compared to the dross served up on Neighbours over 3,000 episodes. Quality matters. Unless Margot Robbie does return, I wouldn't bother. But. If you want quality Aussie comedy series set in the daggy suburbs, checkout Kath and Kim.

Yeah. Don't think I've watched it since the 90's but used to cook and eat dinner with Mrs Goodness. Used to enjoy Toadfish and his nephew Stingray "Spiggin' nonsense!". Dr Karl and Izzy. Donna Freedman and everyone. It's silly suburban nonsense.

Last episode will feature Toady's sixth weddin' and will bring EVERYONE back to Ramsay Street.
