When Rolling Stone attacks a fellow political pal, it must be pretty bad... Then again Fallon and Myers are two of the most unfunny actors to ever be on SNL in my opinion. Colbert is not funny either. Get 3 new *funny* hosts, that could be a great thing !!?? Comedy is like music though, it's all very subjective. What are your thoughts?

I am certainly with you two in your thoughts. What’s worse is that Fallon usually has at least two shows and special appearances and specials on top of that. Are they making him do all that for the salary for one show? I have no idea how that man still has a job unless it comes with knee pads when the big bosses are in town.Comment

If this story is accurate, it's just proof that a chronic toxic environment really does start at the top. Unfortunately, toxic people can be found everywhere, in every walk of life, and imo should be humbled by being relieved of their power. I feel bad for the folks on the receiving end of it. And if this story really is accurate, then Fallon's talent simply doesn't outweigh the conditions he's creating. They should cut him loose.Last edited by rePete; 09-07-2023, 03:05 PM.👍 1Comment

"Toxic environment..." The only ones who say this are leftists under 35 and this has been going on for years.
Was Steve Howe creating a toxic environment when he told a light guy: "I'm gonna come and kick you in the fucking head!"?
Of course not, he is our Steve Howe who had a bad day. But do you think Jimmy Fallon told a worker he was going to kick him in the fucking head if he messed up?Comment

Colbert, Fallon, Meyers, Kimmel are all shills for their corporate masters. None of them are funny and they’re so transparently inauthentic, it’s nauseating. We’re in an era where sanitized faux comedy tip toes around the reality of the messiness of the human condition. The best comedy challenges us and yes, can even make us uncomfortable. God bless Chappelle for having the balls to be who he is and take the heat that he’s taking for being a real comedian……..and so much more.👍 3Comment

I know it's my own unfortunate personal dilemma but my brain and body react so severely to network news and talk programming (SNL included) that it's been several decades since I've been able to view any of it without having a mental/physical breakdown of some sort. Worse than nails on a chalk board, more like a blatant attack, for me it's all to be as avoided as the plague. Even reading the article I start twitching...👍 2Comment

Totally and to echo YesJim above, the landscape of mainstream media has become so contrived and so much more about what side you side with and then propagating the propaganda of that side. I really feel that there is a silent majority that is disgusted with it all.👍 2Comment

Letterman/ Connan were the last of a great era.

Bad stuff has been happening in TV and radio for decades. It's mixed because on one hand it's good to call out the bad behavior but on the other hand, calling out can be an over- reaction to oust someone.Comment

Yep, I've had so many toxic bosses and co-workers over nearly 30 years of working. But for so many years it was just the culture and you were powerless to do anything about it except find another job if you could.👍 2Comment
