But the live vocals are still f'in good, JD's voice tone may not be my cuppa tea but boy can he sing, Sherwood can't sing like Squire (who the hell could) but he harmonises well with JD and likewise I think Howe knows his limitations and sings well as the bassy harmony layer still.
I'm commenting having seen them 3 times sans Squire, if you listen to the official live releases that backs it up. Youtube vids are never the best gauge of these things with so many variables.

I like it, its never going to be a highlight of the set tune but at least they are having a go with playing new tunes live.
Kudos to Jay for some nice drumming to keep it bouncing along.

Instrumentally DTK was great live, but they need to change the vocal arrangement to have Davison sing the melody instead of harmonizing with Howe. I still think it's one of the better Yes songs of the last 30 years.

There are some tunes that are good as studio versions , but are even better on stage.
For example Siberian Khatru (as performed in the 70’s)
Or perhaps It Can Happen
and some songs were very good in the studio but didn’t quite translate as well on stage (Owner, for example)
Dare to Know seems unique in that , to me, it was not compelling as a studio piece, but comes across on stage as something not quite as compelling as the studio version
not sure why they chose to present it on stage

Would have preferred Geoff play the orchestral parts on his keyboards like Rick did with the Magnification material.
