So Who Is Doing Keys For The UK Leg Of The YES 2023 Tour?!

So I just came across the dates for the US Buggles tour with Seal:

    4/25 - 6/12

The YES UK tour dates are:

    5/7 - 6/20

Unless Downes has a clone he can't do both!

Who is gong to be with YES while Downes is in America? Considering they will be in the UK could a certain young english chap with long hair be coming back briefly into the YES fold?
Could Moraz be in the mix since they're playing all of Relayer? Okay YES theorists let's jump on this!

Geoff is not on the Buggles tour. Trevor has essentially reformed the band to be Seal’s backing band. But Geoff isn’t involved.

Thanks for the info! Still wish Moraz was playing though. Just sayin...

        That's a shame.

I like Yes and I like The Buggles.

And I'd like Geoff in The Buggles.

Why call call it Buggles with no Downes? I don't get it.

I'm so glad Downes is committing himself to Yes, even more than Asia it seems... I have always been a fan of what he delivers as a composer and performer personally. It doesn't always have to be about how many notes you can cram into a few seconds.

Well, remember that Downes left The Buggles during the making of the second album, so the latter period of the band's initial period of existence saw it based around Horn alone.

Why call it Yes without Anderson

                    Didn't know that. Interesting.

That's funny. The Buggles are Horn and Downes. That would be like Paul Simon touring as Simon & Garfunkel, or Cher touring as Sonny & Cher. Or Sting calling himself The Police.

                      Whatever.

Trevor, please take Geoff back so Oliver or some other keyboardist can (re)-join Yes.
                        Not on Yes' payroll.

As Henry said, Horn was indeed the only Buggle in 1981 when Geoff left to join Asia.

From his book: "We must have been about two months into the album when Geoff left. By then, I didn´t really need him to help produce, so I finished it with Gary Langan at the desk, but the day I found out about Geoff leaving, I said to Jill, 'Now that Geoff's gone, you can manage me.' 'Well, if I'm going to manage you, then I think you should forget about being an artist and concentrate on being a producer,' she said wryly. 'As an artist, you'll always be second division, whereas if you go into production, you can become the best producer in the world.' "

Which is why Geoff doesn't appear in any of the subsequent promotion for Adventures In Modern Recording. Here are two TV clips from the period.

Besides, according to Trevor, the Buggles were always meant to be a sort of imaginary, faceless band inspired by the J.G. Ballard short story, The Sound Sweep. The only reason he and Geoff went out and put their faces to the name was because someone had to. (Ironically, years later that kind of facelessness was kind of achieved by Damon Albarn with Gorillaz although he did have Jamie Hewlitt to animate a bunch of characters to front it).

Presumably because they will be playing Buggles music.
"A lot of the heavier conversations I was having with Chris toward the end were about his desire for this thing to go forward. He kept reiterating that to me. [...] He kept telling me, 'No matter what happens, Yes needs to continue moving forward and make great music. So promise me that that's something you want to do.'. And I have to keep making music. It's just what I do. [...] I'm a fan of the band and I want to see it thrive and that means new music." -Billy Sherwood
