    2013 3 Album Tour Pics

I just happened to glance at the calender and realized it's been 10 years already since the 3 album tour. I was fortunate enough to take both of my sons to this show, and it was memorable. I had great seats, and a camera, and no one seemed to mind that I took a lot of pics and video. It was the last time I saw Chris squire live, so it holds a lot of memories for me. Hope you enjoy the pics. I also have some great videos from this show.

        Nothing of Jon Davison?
"A lot of the heavier conversations I was having with Chris toward the end were about his desire for this thing to go forward. He kept reiterating that to me. [...] He kept telling me, 'No matter what happens, Yes needs to continue moving forward and make great music. So promise me that that's something you want to do.'. And I have to keep making music. It's just what I do. [...] I'm a fan of the band and I want to see it thrive and that means new music." -Billy Sherwood

Thanks for these. Just watched Awaken. By Jiminy Cricket. Howe is on fire. Dirty, gritty fire!!!!

All the band are off the charts. Downes is phenomenal.

And nice steady, zoomin' in camerawork.

Now here's the difference between a great photographer and a schlub like me. These pics were taken by the great Jerry & Lois Photography here in Seattle at the same show. They are big Yes fans, and have taken some of the best concert pics I've ever seen. Sadly, Lois passed away from cancer in 2020, but Jerry is still running their business. The glitter bomb photo was at the climax of Awaken

Thanks for sharing. I like that Chris' pic: what a beautiful man he was! And a fabulous musician. I am very very sad that he is no more among us. How I wish I could meet him. Maybe in the other life.

I was really devastated when Chris died. I'm a keyboard player, and the first time I saw Wakeman with that gold cape and long flowing hair when I was 14, I was hooked. But it's hard to listen to Yes, even for the first time, and not notice that his bass didn't sound like anyone else's. He laid it down, and played with such authority you HAD to notice it. 40 years later after he was gone, I realized that he was the glue that held this ship together all those years. I almost gave up on them after that, and was even surprised at myself that I didn't think there was any way for them to continue without him. I like Billy, and I really like Lee Pomeroy, it was so great watching him play The Fish at the ARW show, but there will never be another Chris.
