"Classic" Tour? The same old warhorses as a probable "farewell".
"Tales"? Well, maybe. Maybe the Revealing Science AND Ritual. Maybe.
You know, both Chris and Alan passed away - if they were still with us I think they'd be 75 and 74 years old. Steve just had his 76th birthday last month. Lengthy tours and long journeys become too much on musicians eventually. Neither Chris nor Alan would give it up, and played as much, and for as long, as they could.
Steve doesn't seem like the type to call it a day and retire either; he'd never let someone take his place in the band as long as he could still voice his objection.Last edited by pianozach; 05-09-2023, 06:28 PM.

I actually understand you can get to the point where you want to move on to something else. And I know as a ticket holder for three years now I'm supposed to show my entitlement now and be fuming and cynically claiming they cannot play the damn thing and never could, but guess what; I'm not getting my knickers in a twist over this, it is what it is, and it is something I have no control over and if there's anything I've learnt in the past two years is that life's too short to worry or be upset about matters like these. When a new opportunity to see Yes presents itself, I have a choice in going or not going and that's all there is to it for me.

If I were trying to do something for three years and every year, mostly due to circumstances beyond my control, I'd had to postpone it, I think I would definitely lose my lust for it as well. Perhaps I would even feel it's sort of cursed.
