True confession...when I first heard Your Move/All Good People as a lad, I thought the singer was female. After hearing Roundabout, and connecting the dots, I realized that the vocals were from a very unique male. I think a female vocalist could work for Yes, but am fine with Davison as long as he wants the job.

I can't believe you have never heard that before. Hell, even Kitaro hired Anderson to sing "female parts" in his music.

I’m holding the line here.
For my generation at least. Come on.
Anyone on my side. No one. No one ever thought JA to be a female. Nobody. Am I going crazy here. This is not a debate.
A new female vocalist is a fun discussion.
But no way is JA ever considered in that realm. Me talking. And me full of super bowl watching jim Beam watching too. Can’t be alone

I think the '70s Jon sounds very masculine, even if his voice was high. If he doesn't always sound like an adult male, he still sounds like a spunky 12 year old! As time went on he lost some of that gruff tenor; by the late '80s it's easy to see (hear) how someone could make that mistake.

Sober now. But still feel the same.Lol. Didn’t mean to be so snarky last nite. But I still don’t get it. Lol.
Enjoy the female sub discussion, cause it introduces me to some others to listen to also.
Wouldn’t mind some one coming out during a show for a tune or two. Would be fun.
JA has an edge, a bite, to his vocals, that, to me, distinguish him thoroughly. That others do not Ok. I’ll stop. 😉
