    Fortunately for Kent.

On the other hand, nothing like waiting until you *know* you're pumped for it and ready to accept the music on its terms
No, not yet. I may wait at least until we know whether they are touring this year.....I figure the prospect of hearing RELAYER live will get me pumped for the new music, especially since they will surely be playing at least a couple tracks
      on the tour !

I haven't heard the tour going ahead in the spring is in doubt?

As of now, the European tour for May/June is on. It might change of course. Is there time to actually schedule US dates before then?

Yep. The new Socialist workers' Paradise of Portugal with Chairman Costa with the highest vaccination rate in the world still warmly welcomes these gringoes from the West called Si.

They are working on an album of original material. There are no plans, as far as I know, to re-record classics.

I have. The only titles I can remember off the top of my head areo IceaIce Bridgeo and Gift of Love (?) All sounds like a modern take on Yes sounding music. Can anyone clue me in as to exactly why Yes 2022 is doing a big Euro tour and Murica is off the list? I can guess or just come here. At some point the avatar will be figured out from the android platform. Just as soon as I learn how to disable autocorrect which seems simple enough but never takes. In google we trust. How is Alan White doing? Can he play a full set? Is this 2022? Sorry for the Doctor Who questions.

The announced Yes 2022 dates are ultimately re-scheduled from a planned 2020 tour. So they have been arranged first. But the band have talked about plans to take the tour to the US as well. I very much expect that will happen. The question is just when. Presumably late 2022?

White seems to be doing OK, about as well as he has been. He is not expected to play a full set: Schellen is still touring with them.

Has anyone besides me listened to MGT's Images and Words EP?

The BBC sessions, which have been re-released on multiple compilations now? Yes, they're good!

No. But I have recently been listening to "SynDestructible" by the reformed SYN, circa 2005.....oh, but I guess they had no common members, other than Chris. Steve Nardelli wasn't in MGT AFAIK.

Appreciate the response, thank you! Also glad to hear it. The Quest is growing on me. I guess the vinyl is finally on its way too, thought I saw a late Feb release date at amazon.

The Quest grew on me, too. At first I had only heard The Ice Bridge and Dare to Know, one of which I liked a lot, and one of which I didn't. Initially I made myself listen to the album frequently, in the background, until I got used to it. I had expected that I would perhaps download just a few tracks, as I generally prefer a bit more power in music, but in the end I got the whole album. It somehow burrowed itself deep into my head, and sat there, refusing to leave. (A bit like the way that Roundabout's mountains stand there, only a little more relaxed.) I'm glad I persevered - if I hadn't, I might never have discovered the intrigue of this more laid-back, but nevertheless still somehow peripherally energetic version of Yes.

I tend to think that's how some albums work, but even those of us who grew up in the era of letting an album grow on you don't always have the patience now.

I have the patience......but I find it takes me a lot longer than it used to for that "grow on you" thing to happen. It's amazing how many YES-related albums have begun to grown on me, sometimes 20 years after the fact. For instance the 2nd CONSPIRACY album (released in 2005) I have suddenly gained a new appreciation of (partly in response to the recent Billy thread on here, which inspired me to go back to some of those albums !)
