We've had the single with Wakeman, but full details of the album are now out and Downes appears on "One of These Days".

Based on the quality of the single I would say that anybody who listen to this record all the way through probably deserves a medal.

The first two Jürgen Engler-led Floyd tribute albums, Still Wish You were Here: A Tribute to Pink Floyd and Animals Reimagined – A Tribute to Pink Floyd, are fine. Perfectly listenable. I mean, do we a need another all-star Pink Floyd tribute album? No. But I enjoyed both.

The only Floyd tribute albums I think I need in my life are still The Flaming Lips version of The Dark Side Of The Moon and a tribute album from the 90s called A Saucerful Of Pink which feature a lot of industrial type bands, but also includes this track by Sky Cries Mary (with Jon Davison in there somewhere):

I made it 1 minute before I had to turn it off.

Oh, I get it: they deserve a medal but instead get a meddle. LOL!

Is Billy Sherwood involved with this? I noticed that he isn't one of the listed performers in the text on the webpage, but that some of the same performers who play on some of the Prog Collective and tribute albums he does are involved, and the look and feel of the artwork and promotiomal material is similar. That all may just be because it's a Cleapatra release and some of the same performers who make themselves available for his stuff are willing to make guest appearances on similar projects for other people as well.

I couldn't get the label they show on the site of the back of the disc to enlarge enough to read the production credits.

Of course, if Billy were involved, it would mean that relations have thawed enough that Wakeman was willing to send in a clip for him, which he hadn't done since Citizen IIRC.

"A lot of the heavier conversations I was having with Chris toward the end were about his desire for this thing to go forward. He kept reiterating that to me. [...] He kept telling me, 'No matter what happens, Yes needs to continue moving forward and make great music. So promise me that that's something you want to do.'. And I have to keep making music. It's just what I do. [...] I'm a fan of the band and I want to see it thrive and that means new music." -Billy Sherwood

These allstar tribute things are always atrocious... I can't put my finger on why. They seem like a good idea on paper. I never even listen to them anymore. I just know what it's going to be from experience.

I think part of the problem is that, in many cases, these musicians have never been in the same room together, let alone played music together. There is no connection, no groove, no togetherness. Instead, I’m guessing the drummer lays down the drum tracks, passes the files on to the bass player, and on and on. The result is often a sterile and somewhat boring finished product.

your sig: "You too can become a vegetarian!" - yesterday I rewatched the SLO meltdown, and i'd forgotten Wakeman made that comment... there is just the right pause for comic timing. I was at work eating a sandwich and i nearly choked on it. Most amusing

He does not appear to be. This latest round of Cleopatra Records Floyd tributes are put together by Jürgen Engler rather than Billy, who I would guess is busy with Yes, Arc of Life and CIRCA:. I think it's probably a good sign that Sherwood is busy on his own music rather than more Cleopatra Records tributes.

on that front (sherwood and wakeman) the John Wetton celebration gig at trading boundaries has Rick, Billy, Jay Schellen, Geoff Downes, and a lot more ALL on the same bill at a relatively small venue. So backstage isnt going to be a large and everyone will mix. This is a great chance for the musicians to have a laugh in a common endeavour and mix. Downes and Wakeman, and with Geoff having the upper hand due to his far greater working relationship with Wetton.
I dont expect any new music projects, but i quite like the idea of people mixing and being friendly. Too much sh*t talking the last few years, hug it out.

Its a little way from me but not too far so im considering a ticket, certainly a livestream has to be done

Sometimes there are some decent isolated tracks, but there are very few that I think are worth hearing from start to finish. I do think every Floyd fan should try that Flaming Lips version of Dark Side Of The Moon at least once. It sounds a little like what might have happened in a parallel universe where Syd Barrett stayed in Pink Floyd, but the band somehow still managed to make The Dark Side Of The Moon.
