I rate your opinion 85%. You’ve gotten the top two correct, and a total of six of the top ten. “Roundabout” and “Awaken” are also good choices. Your score is reduced for your inclusion of “And You and I,” and especially “Ritual,” neither of which are in the top 20. But this is a very good start. I encourage you to keep studying and try again in one to two weeks.

Top stuff from 1969-1979 would probably be:

in no particular order, just my top ten of some of my most loved original and classic Yes tracks:

                1) The Remembering - pure concentrated magic, so dreamy

                2) To Be Over - summery, mirror to the orangey sky music

                3) Perpetual Change - either studio or Yessongs version, both magic

                4) Close To The Edge - Yessongs version ups the stellar studio version with the addition of Alan White

                5) Turn Of The Century - elegant, celestial, beautiful piano & acoustic guitar

                6) I See You - Bruford & Banks jazz duet, shame there wasn't more of that sorta thing

                7) Onward - beautiful song, a highlight on a sometimes overlooked gem of an album

                8) The Prophet - Tony Kaye organ intro! 'nuff said

                9) Long Distance Runaround - intriguing bassline and pattern, I hear it in my head all the time!

                10) Gates, Awaken or Ritual could fill this 10th spot, pick one because I can't

no Roundabout on the list here, sorry. Don't dislike it, just not on the list. Same for Starship Trooper. I like that one more than Roundabout, but its not on the list either.

It's the most wholesome way I can have fun with the fans yet avoid trying to evaluate it. My head spins when I try haha

There are a couple of serious Relayer fans right there! “To Be Over” feels like a top 10 song to me but there are just too many great songs from the period for it to fit for me. Nonetheless, Relayer is their best work imo.
