New Steve Howe interview on YouTube

Wakeman's problem with Tales wasn't so much that it was a concept album as Howe says but that it was padded.

Steve Howe is becoming a cherished person to watch in interviews.

And also, Album Series is not gone away!

And some interesting information about the upcoming tour. Steve's talking about playing physically closer together. I'd definitely want to see that.

Yes, that comment about playing closer together and not using risers is interesting. I wonder if they liked being closer together in a few of the smaller stages they played in 2022. I’m thinking the Tavastock Wharf pre-tour warm up the 1 or 2 venues they played in the round.

It makes perfect sense though - if you consider what they're playing to be chamber music, which isn't that inconceivable, and then you look at traditional chamber music, they're all very intimately near one another. Close enough to hear each other's breathing.

In the past, there were three or even four significant egos on the statue simultaneously. Today, Howe is the undisputed leader. Maybe there’s less need for each member to have his own fiefdom?

Maybe but maybe it's just easier to play music that way. Maybe both. I'm excited regardless.
