    Nothing is Real

Click image for larger version Name:	images.jpeg-611.jpg Views:	0 Size:	25.1 KB ID:	46996

Is the tagline to a new AI generated treatment of 2 solo songs by Lennon and McCartney. They make them sound like full Beatles songs.

Following on from Noasis. Actual original songs by a tribute band with Liam Gallagher's AI voice added. He liked it on twitter.

So? Which YES song or member will someone do an AI
    treatment of?

    Bruford drummin' on Relayer tracks?

Jon and Juano duettin' on ITPO?

Mirror to the Sky done in trip-hop?

Olias with a full rock band?

    Seems limitless, doesn' it?

But. Is it the right thing to do? 🤔

AI Kurt Cobain sings a cover of Hole's Celebrity Skin.
    This feels creepy.

Honestly those tracks sound more like Jeff Lynne showing off his new lobotomy than they do The Beatles to me. “New” sounds fairly close to the original, only really freaking bad. There is a George Martin orchestrated “Grow Old With Me” on one of the Lennon compilations that is worth hearing. “Now and Then” is supposedly the third Lennon demo that McCartney, Harrison and Starr worked on, but left incomplete. I’m sure it’s in a vault somewhere and maybe we’ll get to hear it one day as the b-side to “Carnival Of Light”.

The fake Oasis record is slightly more convincing. I wouldn’t even think that Hole track was supposed to be a simulated Cobain vocal if not for the headline telling me. So, not too great. As far as Yes is concerned what AI can do for me is to demix, clean up and remix some Tales era boots. That would sound pretty cool.

I have a friend of mine who had wanted to hear Trevor Horn perform every Yessong or Jon Anderson performing on Yesalbums that he wasn't on. He will be very excited.

I get a distinct Julian Lennon vibe on Grow
          Old With Me.
Makes sense, he’s a kind of a Naturally Generated John Lennon clone. With all due respect, I do like some of his songs.

I’d like to hear what Cold Turkey would have sounded like with Paul and George (and Billy Preston?) on it.

Some good observations. He deals with most of what we have already discussed above. Video has been watched 61,000 in just 4 hours. People are interested/concerned.

I used to have that album many years ago. Strangely, at that time, I didn't actially notice any similarity to The Beatles! (I didn't really listen to the Beatles until rather later.)

This one remains the gold standard for fake Beatles IMHO:

And mine. The best song of the 80's. Somethin' about French Horns is so charmin'. In the video a butterfly beats it's wings to set it all off. The Butterfly Effect.

I want to hear Anderson sing songs from Drama, From A Page and Fly From Here.
