Has anyone noticed an uncanny resemblance between Würm and another piece of Yes music? They are also positioned similarly on their respective Yes albums.

yeah the end of leave well alone has a nice instrumental section, but it still feels like its own thing. They're both great to listen to, Starship Trooper is naturally superior.The Definitive YES Albums

Do you mean strictly just the chords, or does the section have the same overall vibe and feel as well?Last edited by Bill M; 04-22-2023, 01:53 PM.

I always felt that the ending of "The Brazilian" by Genesis sounded a bit like Würm... From 3:35 to the end. It's not the same, but it has a similar feel to me. I can imagine Squire using the bass pedals on that one.

The chords in Würm are||: G / | Eb / | C / | / / :||
The song I am thinking of has a faster more driving beat with a similar chord progression one whole step higher. ||: A / / / | F / / / | D / / / | A / / / :||
Both pieces of music could be identified as coda sections not unlike the ending of Hey Jude by the Beatles.
Both pieces close out the first side of their respective albums.Last edited by Bill M; 04-22-2023, 05:23 PM.
