Earliest known recordings by each band member

What are the earliest known recordings by each band member? I've assembled a Spotify play list for your amusement with the earliest known recordings on Spotify for each band member, although in some cases there are earlier recordings not on Spotify.

Earliest known recordings on Spotify · Playlist · 19 songs · 1 likes

The playlist isn't annotated, but you should be able to work out for yourselves who each track is for.

Can you do better? Either on Spotify or off. YouTube has some earlier examples, like:

Didn't the Lodgic album come out before World Trade?

Yes, but Lodgic's lone album, Nomadic Sands, appears to be unavailable on Spotify. Henry said that rather than skipping over a band member who's first work is unavailable on Spotify, he finds the earliest work from that performer that *is* available on Spotify (Even if it's only that performer's 2nd, 3rd, or 4th earliest work *overall*), so each is still represented on the playlist. In this case, it looks like the earliest Sherwood he could find on Spotify was World Trade's self-titled album.
"A lot of the heavier conversations I was having with Chris toward the end were about his desire for this thing to go forward. He kept reiterating that to me. [...] He kept telling me, 'No matter what happens, Yes needs to continue moving forward and make great music. So promise me that that's something you want to do.'. And I have to keep making music. It's just what I do. [...] I'm a fan of the band and I want to see it thrive and that means new music." -Billy Sherwood

It is likely that Trevor participated in session work before 1973, but probably wouldn't have been specifically credited for it.

Ture, but have you ever managed to identify actual specific recordings?

Wakeman's, Downes' and Horn's early session years are also murky in places.

I have tried, but I don't think I've succeeded. Usually whatever I find during research is after '73.

I bet there's a record of Wakeman playing the church organ somewhere, and Chris singing in his church choir too... we just gotta track em down.

Well, here are the full details of the South Harrow Baptist church organ, which is where Rick had organ lessons and was also a Sunday School teacher 1977-78:

And here is a picture of Chris in his church choir at the consecration of Guildford Cathedral in 1961:
