Paul K dishes. He really does. 😘

Woo. Great interview with the orchestrator for MttS. Indeed. The appetite is wetted. Especially for the title track where he says the orchestra again plays by itself after an extended band jam. It made him feel like Ennio Morricone with all the wide, open spaces. Nevada. Arizona. International Dark Sky Park. Which he loves. Loves CftS. It's unpredictability. The openin' strings are real. Passages were moved around. Didn't begin like that at first.

CoT is indeed a ballad with Juano and very delicate strings. Heartfelt. He said that a few times about the album. Colour me excited!!! Glad to think the album will have differin' moods. Plenty of soarin' steel guitar on L and LOTD where the strings provide "push and pull" at their climaxes. And did I hear him right? AC is the next single?

So Steve trusts Paul as he trusts zoomin' into sessions with the North Macedonian players. Seems like they've found a workable and dynamic relationship. Paul is allowed by Steve to compose. Not just told to add strings here or there. Paul tells Steve which songs would benefit from orchestrations.

So. Excited to hear rest of album. Esp. The title track. 😊

Tried to hear at approx 30 minutes in when he says AC "the single" has "jerky string sections" etc.

Yes. With headphones on laptop. He says AC is "the single".

MttS song has acoustic guitar buliding sections with cello to the aforementioned sole orchestra section. Will
be interestin' how they perform that LIVE?

I was not a fan of how they just played the recording of the orchestra when doing Dare to Know live. The rest of the song was ok live, but I wish Geoff had augmented a backing track with some live playing.

I don’t know if they’ll do MTTS live or not, but I hope they don’t just stand there while the recording plays!

Yeah that looked odd. Geoff should maybe grab a conductor's baton and mime along. šŸ˜‹

Does make sense if they feel the flow of the album is important. To the listener. Like openin' the front door and enjoyin' the front room with family photoes etc before explorin' the rest of the house. Endin' in the backyard.

9 minuter? That's almost 1/2 of an old LP!!!

                  To drop. Soon. 😁

I thought the orchestrations on The Quest weren’t very impressive… Hope they will be on MttS.
