    Buggles Tour w/Seal 2023? Overlap w/YES dates?

    Buggles Tour w/Seal 2023? Overlap w/YES dates?

Just curious if anyone knows, or heard rumors? I just saw that Seal (whom I love) just announced a summer 2023 North American tour with THE BUGGLES... (and Trevor Horn as musical director!)

But this Seal / The Buggles Tour in the US *overlaps* with the UK tour that YES is doing in the United Kingdom.

Can't be on two continents at the same time, right...?

(Anyone know or hearing buzz of "where" Geoff Downes plans to tour - and with which BAND, this summer...?? Please let us know. Thanks!)

This is strange I would assume Downes is staying in yes and has Given Horn his blessing but that is a guess

      a good write up here:
      https://postpunkmonk.com/2023/01/18/...tpunkmonk.com/

which says that "According to Retropop, Downes will be there as well."

The Retropop article that is referenced was probably just making an assumption. I don't think they know anything we don't.

Perfect time to bring in Patrick for the tour as special guest while Geoff is off with the Buggles

Which would Pat be fine with touring with the band just for one tour?

again this whole thing doesn’t make sense especially as the European tour is likely the first time we will hear music off the new yes album …

i mean a bit odd for Pat to be playing songs Geoff wrote off the new album right,

They -- Horn and Downes -- have done some work on it, but what is unclear. Fingers crossed they'll want to get something out to go with the tour.

You mean the album not yet released? I doubt it.

Thanks. I think they had started in 2019 and Downes thought it would be out in a year or so.

That they will play cuts from their unreleased album.

Presuming we're talking about Yes and their set list, I presume the new Yes album will be out before or around the time of the tour.

Really does look like a busy Yes (related) year!

Significant projects from Yes, Downes, Anderson, Wakeman (R), Rabin, Horn and Wakeman (O). We could do with a Patrick Moraz album.
