Who's in our imaginary band at this point? Makes a huge difference in what I would want to hear.
Excellent point. I wouldn't want Howe on a whole bunch of Rabin era songs, nor do I have much interest in hearing Rabin on ABWH songs.
While I had no trouble thinking up setlist for the "last six albums" thread, I do have troubles with this one. Because say the current line without Rabin would mean no members that originally played on those albums and that lineup with Rabin, but sans Howe would mean no members who originally played on the ABWH album.

I wouldnt want Rabin on Rabin songs.... or anywhere near Yes really.
Am I the only person who actually likes Howe on Rabin songs?
let’s assume the guitarist or guitarists are whoever you want them to be for the sake of argument
(I still say the current lineup could do a brilliant version of shoot high aim low)
also madbear you have Go through this Run with the fox and fly from here part 1 we can fly at your disposal as well
I'd rather Howe than Rabin on anything. I would def put Fly From Here in there somewhere, but can't be bothered to do the whole thing again!
Really not enough good music on those albums for me, even if they played them better (ie less produced) than they sounded on the albums.
It's not just the guitar player. We all know there is zero chance Jon Anderson is going to sing anything from Drama ever, and if YesWest is our band who else on that stage will sing lead for Drama songs? Do we bring Trevor Horn back? Nope we all know he can't hold up when doing live shows. Really the only option I see is to put Jon Davison on stage because he can and has done all of Drama live, and he can easily pull off any of the other albums on the list.
Am I the only person who actually likes Howe on Rabin songs?
I wouldn't say the only one, but personally I think his performances of Rabin era songs are both reluctant as well as lackluster. The only performances I thought were good were his performances of Rhythm of Love on the 35th Anniversary tour and when they did Owner in Japan in 2003.
