In the presence of Rabin = In the absence of Howe - too much for his 'fragile' ego to take.

The only names on the poster I know are the Yes members/former-members, and Michael Shrieve.

If it's streamed on YouTube I'll take a look, though probably after the event rather than live.
All the Yes albums that Alan played on, when I've been listening to them of late I've been very conscious of his playing and his presence, and I watched Symphonic and Yesstory again not long after he died, both of which had a sadness and poignancy I wasn't entirely prepared for. I think that's how I prefer to pay my respects to his artistry.
Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.

The Yes members wouldn’t perform without a guitar player and Rabin wouldn’t perform without a band. Which band should he perform with?

I’m a little surprised that Anderson isn’t going. He only lives one state down. Did he decline or was he not asked?

yeah, I find this odd too. Anderson could perform solo or with Rabin if he doesn't want to join the band.

And why is there no Howe? It is too far to travel for just a few minutes on stage?

It may simply be the case they prefer to pay tribute by other, more private, means. I feel this is the most respectful way to think of it, rather than for speculation about this or that person's absence escalate to a recriminatory level and it all become unpleasant, distracting and disrespectful.
Personally, I've never been keen on tribute concerts/events and all that public demonstrativeness of emotion. Not keen on wakes either. Perhaps that's just very English of me...?

okay, wow! Would've been nice if Steve was there as well, but very nice of Trevor to show up!

Since it is multiple performers playing in a limited period of time, it is unlikely there will be deep cuts from Yes that people are going to have learn plus the audience will want to hear the hits.
                    Not on Yes' payroll.

I think there is going to be a mix of obscure and known stuff

I'm inclined to agree with Joseuv80 here. Obscure stuff would need quite a lot of rehearsal time, even if all players prepped their parts separately. Now Sherwood is of course familiar with Rabin era stuff, not only from the Talk tour, but also from playing some of it with Yoso, which means he knows the bass parts to Changes, Owner and Hold On at least. Rabin in return knows the familiar 70s stuff like Roundabout, Starship Trooper, I've Seen All Good People. I realise those are tracks Alan did not originally play on, but Trevor has played little stuff from the 70s that had Alan originally on it. Probably only Awaken, which is likely too long a song for an ocassion like this.

Now Alan loved Relayer, Drama, 90125 and Talk. Trevor has never played any Drama stuff, but the guys from White have. So my guess is that Geoff, having played on the White album, will play with White and next to one or two White songs, will play Tempus Fugit and Machine Messiah with them (who will be om drums??) and he will then perform with the Yes guys. White also performed Changes, so who knows?

After giving it some thought, I do agree it's highly likely that Trevor will play with the current Yes guys (wonder what Anderson and Wakeman will think of that).

So, at your request I'm going to take a stab at the setlist for White and for Yes:

                        White:

                        - Tempus Fugit
                        - New Day
                        - Beyond the Sea of Lies
                        - Machine Messiah

                        Yes:

                        - Changes
                        - I've Seen All Good People
                        - Hold On
                        - And You And I
                        - Owner of a Lonely Heart
                        - Roundabout

Some of the other artists will no doubt delve into other parts of his career, like the stuff he did with John Lennon, George Harrison and Joe Cocker for instance.

This is the sure bet. True, Alan was Ryan's godfather but even so, Trevor wants Ryan onstage with him.

But also, I'm kind of tickled to see the original Heart boys getting together once again, it's only happened a few times before. Roger and Steve have played together more frequently, but Michael doesn't show up too often.

                              Yes:

                              - Changes

Not sure how familiar Sherwood still is with material he played nearly 30 years ago.... I couldn't do the job I was doing in 1994 now...
