Crazier things have been proposed, but hear me out:
- Misplaced Childhood was released in 1985, between 90125 and Big Generator, so the timing works out as a "lost" Yes album;
- It features a well-known and established logo and artwork style (with a gravity-defying window, not unlike a rock, to boot!);
- It has ten songs, just like Magnification;
- Mark Kelly has said Yes was always his favourite band;
- It has just as many original Yes members as The Quest;
- It mentions children quite a lot, even if it doesn't quite describe their eyes or the world through them;
- It was produced by Chris Kimsey, well known for his work on ABWH;
- A pseudo silk kimono sounds very much like something Chris Squire would have worn…
I think a compelling case could be made — slap a new cover on it, and why not? Even die-hard fans would have a hard time telling Fish and Jon Anderson apart, really.
