I envisage a stage prop of interlocking white polystyrene blocks, perhaps knee-high, spanning the front of the stage which can be toppled at the right moment.... High drama!

Or have the band build a wall of 'ice bricks' gradually throughout the show, until the band is concealed behind the wall. They could have puppets and have a Moorglade ship crash into the wall, and eventually have Steve Howe standing on top of the ice wall to do a solo during Starship Trooper. Or wait...I think something like that may have been done already...
