eh, I'm guessing we all get that.

Once Tim did that, I though a good idea maybe would have been to do that with about 2 weeks left, mentioning this place as the new forum to go to..but in any case, it was quite a run.

We new it was about to happen yet how sad it was to see the site closed. Thank you Tim for everything.

Tim can do what he wants and I say thank you for the great forum. Point.

But highfell is not so wrong on the other side. And it is a little strange that nothing of the stuff people have written in 20 years is available anymore. I mean about five percent might not have been for nothing and might be some interesting Yes-Zeitgeist-stuff

It is a shame that the old site can’t be accessed on a read only basis. We did get to over 2.5 million posts so I think there was a bandwith issue that meant to save money, the site had to be pruned. There’s a lot of history there though.

I saw this message pop up yesterday and it definitely made me sad kinda like the feeling I had when we listened to WNKU go off air for their final broadcast. Like others have said the lost history is the worst part so many memories that were fun to rummage through gone to the bit bucket. Hopefully there is a copy somewhere that will surface, but in the meanwhile here's to keeping the spirit alive with this new YesFans site!

Is it OK if I'm still missing "Notes From the Edge?"

As one of the old alt.music.yes gang from the '90s, I still think of Yesfans.com as the "new site." Wow, 20 years gone by. Glad this place is here and may it last.

I have a reputation comment there that I'll never get to see.

Me, too. I keep trying to get at it, but no luck. It just shows up at the top of the header above Tim's note under notifications. Clicking on it takes me right back to where I started.
"A lot of the heavier conversations I was having with Chris toward the end were about his desire for this thing to go forward. He kept reiterating that to me. [...] He kept telling me, 'No matter what happens, Yes needs to continue moving forward and make great music. So promise me that that's something you want to do.'. And I have to keep making music. It's just what I do. [...] I'm a fan of the band and I want to see it thrive and that means new music." -Billy Sherwood

I think of it as a goodbye from Tim. Good bye YesFans!

The end of an era, but the beginning of this new era is off to a great start! Still, I felt a little something in my chest when I went to give it one last look and it was gone.
