I just happened to be singing a few verses of Perpetual Change at work today, as it popped into my head. Something I have never, ever, done for this particular song, ever. Coincidence that I looked at this thread, even though I was afraid, no offense, Gilly, that reading “uncut “in the title might be about penises, which by the way, I have absolutely no interest in except my own. ;-)

I told maybe the hundredth person /stranger the other day when she showed up with a dog at my property while I was outside , if it was a male or female dog, because I have zero interest in looking at dog genetillia to determine if it was male or female.

Definately. 5 years ago. Same typeface on cover. Same 5 guys except instead of White they had Bruford.

Intro by Steve "We wanted to be a classy rock band" ran the headline. Wonderfully sincere and honest and funny and self-critical.

122 pages. Ton's of early interviews and articles I was too young to read at the time. Wild stories with ELP. Each album featured. Great photoes. Can honestly say I've never got tired from browsin' in it. Not much about TALK or UNION. Does finish briefly with H+E. And it's divided reception.

Was the 50th Anniversary. Definately one for the fans and to me most fascinatin' in revealin' how they started and developed.

Critic opinions,Live releases, solo albums, logoes. It's all here. A wild and wacky ride.

Occasionally I will go to the last working dairy near my home. Owned by the county. My daughter went to the preschool on the grounds because she liked it so much there.. They have a good variety of animals. Unlike dogs, there is zero way you can’t avoid seeing the huge freak’s bullocks on the male pigs.

“You have to give us much as you take”: Rick Wakeman introduces our Deluxe Ultimate Music Guide to Yes

The former Yes keyboardist speaks to Uncut and tells us why “you have to give as much as you can take or it’s not going to work”.

BUY THE YES DELUXE ULTIMATE MUSIC GUIDE HERE

Rick Wakeman is chasing a dog out of his office as he starts his call with Uncut to introduce our latest Deluxe Ultimate Music Guide. The intruder banished, the office door finally closed, Rick embarks on a far-reaching conversation which covers his session musician work, praise for the material which Yes made after he left, and how his solo successes once led to him being greeted by a brass band on an airport runway, to the dismay of the other members of Yes – though it ultimately led to them all being offered solo album contracts too.

As you’ll learn from the features and in-depth reviews in our expanded, deluxe Ultimate Music Guide, the band’s journey – with Rick and without him – has been an incredible one. From orchestral psyche-pop to pastoral prog drama. Out the other side to encounter jazz fusion, and synth pop. The band have evolved to meet the times, and are now retrenching in the ecological mode of their classic era albums to the delight of a new generation of listeners.

From his first rehearsal, it was Rick’s job to make the collaborative jigsaw of Yes music fit together. “It started with Steve saying he had a riff, which was very nice,” Rick recalls in his introduction, “so we played it. Chris had a line. Bill said he had a fill. Then I said “Well I’ve got something which sort of goes with all of that,” and they thought it was good. But Chris said, they’re all in different keys – how are we going to put it all together? I said, ‘I know how to do that…’

“That was one of my jobs: when things were in ridiculous keys, all over the shop, to make things link up. I did all that. And by the end of that rehearsal we’d pretty much put ‘Roundabout‘ together.”

For Rick it’s remembering the joy of the collaboration, more than any of the material rewards, that has the retained magical.

“Yes music means a lot to me, it’s a major part of my musical life and career,” he says. “With Yes you have to give as much as you can take or it’s not going to work.”

the only concern I have are the pages featurin' Jon Anderson look the same as the copy I already have.
Hope there's not 122 pages of recycled content with some extra pages on ARW and TQ.

Aren't these publications just assemblages of previously published pieces, articles, interviews, reviews, etc?
Sometimes the lights all shining on me, other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it’s been.

Mix of both. Original local newspaper reviews. Photoes. Rare and obscure stuff. Hopefully tons of new stuff and not recycled content from the edition 5 years ago. As I inferred above.

Lately we've had Rael's Relayer youtube doco with pix I've never seen. Stories. Information.

Plus on the many Facebook fan pages I've recently discovered are literally tons of photoes and videos I've never seen before. For eg. YES in the nude.
