Help identifying photo date

Hi!

Just found this cutout from some old magazine with the picture of the band:

The photo seems to date to 1977 and Rick's outfit matches that he was wearing during one of the MSG shows in 1997 but confirmed date and author of this picture are unknown. If anyone's got any clue as to when exactly the picture was take or has better version of it, please don't hesitate to share it, thanks!

Ran the photo thru Google Lens and a few others and couldn't find a match. I do remember seeing this somewhere, not sure if it was a newspaper or magazine. I have a hunch it may be from Circus Magazine Sept 8 1977 issue but I can't locate a copy online.

My guess is 1977, because I think Chris wore that suit only in that year.

Well, he looks like hes predating Jon Fishman with that mu mu . Could be a drummer thing.. going through an introspective period. The mustache could be part of it.

With a quick look, Alan appears to be the only hombre, with four homely women. ;-)

Loved the stache, too! Too bad Alan wasn't very good on roller skates. Paris sessions, and the lineup may have been completely different.

Also too bad the boys didn't throw in one disco song during that period. That one KISS disco song is the only one of theirs I like.
